This is never a good situation for anyone. It is rare, however it still does happen and we are happy to help you track everything down & recover as much as possible. We use tools that help us see where your domain name has been pointed to in the past, and where it is and/or was hosted at any point in time which will help lead us to recovery.
Who has control of your website? Who is holding the keys?
No matter who is helping you with your website, YOU as an owner or manager of your website should ALWAYS have a copy & access to all usernames and passwords for all of your website, email, and any IT related accounts. Think of these as an extremely important “set of keys” for your business, and always treat them with care. If you any need help in this area, we are more than happy to help track these down and help organize them for you. If at any time you are changing the people that you are working with and have access to your web accounts, you always want to update & change these passwords when doing so. This includes working with us as well, these are general security practices you should not ignore.
